Ok, so yesterday was spent wallowing in the simple fact that I am ill-equipped to deal with a hangover at this stage in my life.
Not that it was ever at the top of my “Things I Enjoy Most” list, but it’s definitely tumbled somewhere closer to “Things I Simply Cannot Tolerate.”
Truth fact. I ate my lunch in the building cafeteria, eating things like french fries, chicken wings, and mozzarella cheese sticks.
I don’t even like mozzarella cheese sticks, if we’re sticking with honesty.
But their deep fried coating called to me.
In any case, giving up the week to the Blizzard of ’11 instead of to my well being and usually healthy lifestyle, Ky and I spent the evening on the couch, drinking seltzer water and eating delivery Chinese food.
At least we didn’t drink anymore.
This morning, I’m giving myself over to my regularly scheduled life, and heaving around kettlebells with Gene the Russian.
He’ll inevitably make me feel guilty, but as both an Italian and a sometimes-Catholic, I respond well to these kinds of tactics.
I’ll be back to my old self in no time.
Aside from watching the Superbowl (in which I am forced with the unsavory task of rooting for a likely woman-assaulting led Steelers team, because I simply cannot bring myself to want the Packers to win one iota), I have decided to leave the rest of the weekend up to chance, reveling in the fact that my street has been plowed and the sun isn’t setting until slightly after 5 PM.
It’s the little things, chickadees.
My tasks for today include cleaning up all of the beverage glasses left behind in the wake of the snowstorm and eating some GD leafy greens.
And all the leftovers that have been sitting sadly in my fridge, as I’ve bypassed them for things like pizza and chicken tenders.
Let’s try and forget the atrocities of this week, shall we?
And with that, I’m off to concentrate on more productive tasks than rehashing this week’s poor choices.
Have a good weekend chicks!
