a step in the right direction.

Why hello there March.

I expect you to be out like a lamb in about a month.

We’ll see how that goes.

This week has been relatively shameful when it comes to running.

As in, it’s Thursday and I haven’t done any actual running yet.

Yesterday I was encouraged by the morning’s beautiful weather, but by the time I stepped outside after work, it was windy, cold, and raining.

Next time it’s unseasonably nice outside I’m taking the day off.

It only seems fair.

Also last night, wine and chatting seemed to be more important than mile-logging, and so that’s what I did.

And this morning, well.

It was morning.

I drank wine last night.

I think we all knew ahead of time how that would turn out.

There was no way I was leaving my bed one second before I had to drag myself out of it.

And now somehow, it’s Thursday and I’ve not run one single step.

My only logical strategy from here is to simply run out the rest of the week and try to keep things moving.

This sort of thing happens.

Right?

Right.

I’ll let you chickens know how things shake out tonight- I have my doubts.

But so does everyone.

Have a good we’re-nearly-there Thursday!

  1. The wind was killer last night. My walk from the gym back home in the drizzle/wind combo made me want to dive under the covers and never come out.

Maybe that’s a little dramatic, considering this has been the most mild winter of all time…
