i’m a fool to love you, but baby i’m just the fool for you.

There is nothing more beautiful than a weekend stretched in front of you.

Especially when you started it out by sitting in the beer garden of Moody’s, chatting with friends and drinking sangria.

After filling ourselves to the brim with burgers, onion rings, and also french fries (yes, we had both, and yes, that’s a totally fine thing to do), we left our picnic table and headed to North Center to listen to our pal JM’s sweet band play.

They sounded even more fantastic than usual.

After their band was finished, we started listening to a band that was part early 90s ballad, part what-exactly-are-they-doing.

“Is this Fountains of Wayne?” I wondered aloud.

“I don’t think so,” JD said, as the band, as if on cue, picked up their tempo, started swinging around their guitars, and began screaming “We’ll move to Cal-if-for-n-ia!” over and over again.

We promptly finished our beers and headed to the safety of our homes.

It still made for an interesting night, and for that, I am thankful.

As of now, I’m headed outside to hit the Farmers’ Market, get some breakfast, and sit in the sun for a few hours.

My complexion still thinks it’s February.

Have a wonderful Saturday, chickens.
