Happy Sunday, chickadees!
It’s been a beautiful, albiet hot, weekend in the Second City, and I’ve spent a fair amount of it hanging at Ravinia under a tree.
I spent both Friday and Saturday night at the park, seeing Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat, and Sarah McLachlan, respectively.
Which meant that first, I had a lovely walk down memory lane to 2006, followed by a longer stroll to the mid 1990s.
Although, to be honest, I’ve never let the marching of time stop me from listening to music from a couple of decades ago.
It’s just not my style.
In any case, both concerts were fun, and filled with good food & drinks (maybe too many drinks on Friday, but again, we were sort of emulating college, so appropriate), great music, and the chance to hang out under a few trees into the later hours of the evening.
Today, due to the fact that temperatures are still stifling, and I’ve got nowhere to be, I’m planning on doing some I-know-I-have-work-this-week yoga, followed by cranking up the AC, relaxing, and making something with the assortment of vegetables that I couldn’t help but buy, even though I’m only hanging in Chicago this week until Thursday morning.
The Farmers’ Market is a dangerous place for me this time of year, chickens.
And with that, I leave you with two of my favorite jams from the weekend. I hope you’ve had as much fun as I have.
