you’ve got to get up every morning with a smile on your face

And suddenly, it’s already Wednesday. Time’s moving at a pretty healthy clip lately, towards longer days and less snow (hopefully, although not if you take last night into account).

This was the most perfect year to be gifted new snow boots chickadees, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

The fact that I’ve taken zero spills (knock on wood) this winter is nothing short of a miracle, if you ask me.

Something from a couple of weeks ago that I totally forgot to share, and so will do on a morning when I’m running a bit slow and don’t have words exciting enough to share, anyway.

This little clip is from the Grammy’s a couple weeks ago. My love for Sara Bareilles is deep, but it doesn’t stand a chance when compared to my love for Carole King. Watching these two jam it out together, on pianos, with giant smiles on their faces, was one of my favorite musical things I’ve ever seen.

Now if that’s not something to get you over hump day in a good mood, I don’t know what it is.

We’ve got the weekend in our sights on the other side of this one, chickens, and that’s something worth smiling about.
