About the Author

I live in Chicago, and even though I wasn’t born here, I love it like I was. I’m originally from the East Coast, which means I prefer oceans over lakes and get excited when I see a clam shack. I’m firmly planted in my early 30s, but I promise I’m good with it (most of the time). I have a loud, fun family, a patient and handy husband, and a little boy named Theo who is the love of my life and my biggest challenge all wrapped into one.

I love (in no particular order): my little family, laughing until my stomach hurts, running, cooking, watching sports, writing, reading, doing yoga, and cocktails.

I’m here to get real, to make you laugh, and to reaffirm (mostly to myself) that this whole life is about having a good time and being nice and that’s really it. Enjoy it!

You are everything I could have been and it brings me so much joy to see you blossom into such a smart, funny, absolutely adorable woman. Talent is important. But, if it isn’t paired up with drive and ambition, you never see the full potential. You make me so proud. I love you. Stay just the way you are.

  5. Hey, love the blog!

Wanted to give you the heads up on a new iphone app for Chicago runners called 312Go.

It turns running into an exploration. As you move around Chicago your location and direction triggeres thousands of audio files telling you about the places and things you see, real time.

The research team has done an incredible job uncovering fascinating facts and the technology is so cool. It’s amazing how well it works.
